This year’s seniors have not graduated yet, but the Alumni Association is already welcoming the newest members of the Wolfpack family.

welcome1The Alumni Association is traveling to New York and Washington this weekend to host Wolfpack Freshmen Welcome events to welcome high school seniors who will be enrolling at NC State this fall. A representative from the university admissions office will be on hand to answer questions for anyone else who might be considering NC State.

About 35 people, including area alumni, are expected to attend our event in New York on Saturday. But while we may be in the Big Apple, barbecue will be on the menu for the gathering at Brother Jimmy’s BBQ in Midtown.

baseballOn Sunday, about 60 people are expected to join the Alumni Association for a Washington Nationals baseball game. The group will gather at the stadium before the game to welcome the incoming freshmen and talk about all the great stuff happening at NC State.

That’s only the beginning, though, of the Wolfpack Freshmen Welcome tour. In May and June, the Alumni Association will be hosting events at stops throughout North Carolina, including Guilford, Mecklenburg, Wake and Alamance counties.

Check out our website for the event closest to you and come out and help us welcome the newest members of the Wolfpack family.
