Today in NC State History: Escaped pig captured at Winston Hall

PrintThere is absolutely no historical significance to today’s glance back into moments in NC State’s 125 years. Or at least none that we could determine.

But we couldn’t resist when we found it listed in the Historical State collection maintain by NCSU Libraries.

So, without further adieu, on this day in 1963, a pig escaped from the Animal Disease Lab and was later captured in the ladies’ restroom in Winston Hall. Unfortunately, we could not find photos of the pig as he made his way across campus.

So, as one famous cartoon pig said, “That’s all folks!”
