A company run by three NC State alumni has been recognized by BusinessWeek.com as one of the most promising companies run by entrepreneurs who are 25 or younger.

And they need your votes to make it into the top five.

Business Empire Consulting, a digital marketing firm in Raleigh, was started by three former engineering students at NC State — Bryan Young, Brandon Blair and Matthew Laster. Young is chief executive officer of the company, Blair is the chief operations officer, and Laster is the chief technology officer.

Young told us that the Entrepreneurship Initiative at NC State was “vital” to his success.

“I had the opportunity to learn a lot during the extracurricular activities of the program,” Young wrote in an email. “The ability to interact with many successful men and women made me want to work that much harder to build a successful company.”

Business Empire Consulting now has 27 employees and about 20 clients, including Clinique and Belk department stores.

“My goal is to build a global agency that does 9 figures in billings a year for the quality of work we do — and I believe it is do-able,” Young said. “I use video, mobile, web and social media tools to show brands how to connect to their consumers to drive revenue, but it started with finding ways to harness my creativity.”

So don’t forget to vote to help Business Empire Consulting — and its Wolfpack trio — make it into BusinessWeek.com’s top five.
