With college football season about to begin, universities across the country get another chance to spread the word about the good things happening on their campuses.

We’re talking about the commercials that typically air during halftime of college football and basketball games, the ones that tell the folks watching at home a little bit about the two universities competing on the football field or basketball court.

Such commercials typically feature students or an unseen narrator describing the wonders of the university as viewers see shots of students working in labs, studying on a green lawn or strolling among campus buildings.

That’s not the case with NC State’s new commercial. University Communications has created a very different look and feel for NC State’s new ad, which will officially be unveiled in Carter-Finley Stadium during Saturday’s game with Liberty University.
