charlotte eventA large group of NC State alumni gathered in Charlotte last night to hear the latest news from NC State as well as a talk about the economic climate in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Stan Kelly ’80, the regional president of North Carolina and South Carolina Community Operations at Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Company, hosted the evening event at One Wells Fargo Center in Charlotte.

Kelly spoke to the group about what areas are starting to see an economic recovery and others that are still in need of an upswing.

Before Kelly spoke, Chancellor Randy Woodson talked with the group of nearly 150 alumni and friends about the latest news from NC State and preparations for the arrival of the next group of freshmen. Charlotte alumni network leaders Karl Stuppnig ’89 and Seth Hudson ’99 introduced Woodson.
