Wolfpack Welcome (Guilford County)A large Wolfpack crowd gathered last night at the First Baptist Church in Greensboro to welcome more than 40 high school seniors who will be enrolling at NC State this fall.

More than 100 alumni, parents and NC State friends were on hand for dinner and a chance to give the newest members of the Wolfpack family some tips on how to succeed at NC State.

Ann Hunt Smith of the Guilford County Wolfpack Club, which covered the cost of the student meals, reminded the students that they need to work hard when they get to college. “It’s hard to get into NC State, but easy to get out,” she said.

The event was hosted by the Alumni Association and local alumni network leaders, including Ken Clifton and Gary Upchurch, a member of the Alumni Association board of directors.
