Former NSF head visits NC State to discuss global issues

arden_bementThe former director of the National Science Foundation will be at NC State on Wednesday to discuss “Global Policy Issues in a Shrinking World.”

Arden L. Bement Jr.,  a professor of nuclear energy at Purdue University, is speaking as part of the Robert F. Davis Distinguished Lecture Series in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Bement is also director of the Global Policy Research Institute at Purdue.

Bement is scheduled to speak at 3 p.m. in Room 135 of the Golden LEAF Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center on Centennial Campus. The event is free and open to the public.
