See NC State from a Segway

June 3, 2010

Raleigh company Triangle Segway is offering tours of NC State’s campus via Segways, and a few University Communications employees gave it a try. Check out their video about the tour.

The guide is Matt Robbins ’06, ’09 MR, who started the effort to get bells in the Belltower and who knows more about NC State’s campus and history than just about anyone. Tours are available on June 12 and 26. Learn more here.

Ashwini, I’m checking with the company that used to offer tours on campus. I’ll post their response here as soon as I hear from them.

I checked with Triangle Glides, the company that does the Segway tours. They still do tours of NC State, but only if you book it “on a special event basis” with a 10-person guarantee. The tours can only be conducted during school breaks and on Sundays. You can’t book the tour online, only by telephone. Their phone number is 919-828-1988.
