About 6,000 runners turned out for the 2010 Krispy Kreme Challenge (KKC), which raised more than $40,000 for the N.C. Children’s Hospital. NC State students started the event — which combines eating and running — in 2004 and turned it into a fundraiser for the hospital in 2006. You can read more about the KKC here.
