Use your iPad to take a stroll through NC State history
NCSU Libraries have made it easy for iPad users to talk a walk through the university’s history.
The WolfWalk tool was initially launched in 2010 for mobile devices, but it is now being made available as an app for iPads.
WolfWalk: A Photographic History of NC State initially allowed people to use their mobile phones for a self-guided historical walk through the NC State campus. The new version “provides a deeper, more immersive experience by taking advantage of the more expansive electronic canvas” on an iPad, according to a news release.
The new version will allow users to explore more than 1,000 photographs held in the NCSU Libraries’ Special Collections Research Center.
“The University Archives and our Special Collections Research Center are two of the great treasures of NC State University,” said Susan Nutter, vice provost and director of the NCSU Libraries. “I love the idea that now it’s even easier for NC State’s friends to use them and to enjoy these riches.”
The iPad version of WolfWalk is available as a free download from the App Store.
