Ratcliff first woman to be national “Engineer of the Year”
Terri Helmlinger Ratcliff, an NC State alumna and assistant vice chancellor, is the first woman to be named “Engineer of the Year” by the National Society of Professional Engineers.
Ratcliff, who earned a B.S. in engineering operations and a Ph.D. in public administration from NC State, is an assistant vice chancellor for extension and engagement and executive director of the Industrial Extension Service.
Ratcliff was recognized as “Engineer of the Year” at the society’s national conference in Las Vegas last month, according to a report in the NC State Bulletin.
